Communal TV Systems are a highly desired solution within MDUs (Multi Dwelling Units).
Whilst most Communal TV Systems are deployed over coaxial, the infrastructure of choice is fibre.
Use of coaxial in this environment places the MDU at a disadvantage, given signal strength can be affected by ‘cable loss’. The longer the coaxial feed, the more potential for disruption. Modern IRS (integrated reception systems) solutions run over fibre, removing such limitations, meaning a strong signal can be maintained no matter the distance between a receiving antenna and outlet location.
TVNET’s experienced engineering team will attend site, conduct an in-depth analysis of the MDU, including it’s short, medium and long-term occupation plan. On gathering all key information, TVNET will design and recommend the most appropriate TV solution to meet the needs of each client.
Fibre infrastructure can also offer residents flexibility of choice, in relation to their TV provider. Traditional coaxial solutions often favour one provider, limiting or restricting a resident’s options.
