Our story

While we were established in 2004, the story of the company we are today really began in 2014 when we were asked to undertake some work for a National Trust property in Nottinghamshire.

Our work and service was of such quality that we were given other data-cabling projects by the National Trust and now cover all cabling requirements across all sites in England and Wales.

Working on such high-profile historic buildings comes with a number of complexities which our service can handle:

  • Understanding – It is essential to preserving the charm of historic properties that cabling is done discreetly, concealed wherever possible, and that no damage is done to original features.
  • Responsiveness – With the majority of the properties being revenue generating, it is essential that work is carried out quickly and is done correctly first time, so that payment (and other) systems stay online during opening hours.
  • Quality – We are now known for doing all work to the highest of standards, something which is always necessary within some of the nation’s favourite buildings, and indeed for any other customer.
  • Scale – Needing to work from Cornwall to Northumberland, Kent to Pembrokeshire, we are able to dispatch experienced engineers across the country at a moment’s notice.
  • Ingenuity – With properties spread over rolling estates, often in open countryside, and heritage buildings to preserve, our engineers and surveyors often have to think on their feet to come up with the best solution.

Working with such prestigious customers is an opportunity we have grown into and perform with pride, care and expertise. As word of our specialism has got around it has led to us becoming the go-to data cabler for other owners of historic or complex buildings, particularly for councils and educational establishments.

That is not to say that we do not help companies and premises cost-effectively with more routine cabling work – just to emphasise that we have the capabilities to help on any project, no matter how simple or complex.

Beyond the expertise: Going for a greener future

Sustainability is important to us and we have taken a lead in our industry for driving positive change.

  • We choose suppliers who are active in reducing the use of single use plastics
  • We were pioneers in introducing electric vehicles to our fleet, reducing our carbon footprint as we travel to jobs.
  • We have chosen a climate positive website hosting company so that the net effect of our web presence is that no carbon is released into the atmosphere.

Working directly and through intermediaries

We value excellent relationships and this enables us to work well both directly for end-clients but also equally as a white-label data cabling solution for other service companies in the sector, including IT consultancies, telecoms, facilities management, mechanical and engineering firms and construction businesses.

"The guys that came to install the cables and data cabinet were absolutely brilliant. Little Moreton Hall is not an easy building, and they were very understanding of the constraints of what we can and can't do. They went out of their way to find service routes that were already in existence to avoid unnecessary drilling (even finding out the age of different sections of timber from our handyman to make sure they were not disturbing anything original), and worked with my team to ensure they weren't impacting on our operation as the site was open to the public and they had to work in kitchen areas and front of house spaces. They also came in at 6am one morning to ensure they would be done working in an area in time for opening so as not to cause any disruption. On top of this, they were polite. pleasant and friendly. I would welcome them back anytime."
